When I showed up for Mega Wednesday with Cross Point Students, I was met with high energy, bold visuals, and an atmosphere built for connection—and behind the scenes, I was there to make sure every moment was captured with precision and purpose.
Setting the Stage
Mega Wednesday is all about bold moves and big moments. From a production standpoint, I knew I needed visuals that could match the energy of the night. My pre-production process included creating video assets for the LED wall and environmental displays that would fuel the hype in the room at the beginning of the night. These motion graphics were designed to create anticipation, movement, and momentum—so by the time the first worship song hit, students were fully locked in.
Live Coverage with a Cinematic Edge
I didn’t just prepare assets—I also covered the night. Using a hybrid of photo and video capture, I moved throughout the event to catch genuine moments: laughter, worship, wide shots of the crowd, and the personal moments in between.
To elevate the footage with a unique look, I used the Neewer Halo Effect Filter. This gave the visuals a cinematic swirl—adding an ethereal, dreamlike glow that made already-powerful moments feel even more impactful.
Telling the Story After the Lights Go Down
The final step of the process is just as crucial as the shoot itself—editing and delivery. My goal was to provide the Student Ministry team with assets that could be used in follow-up reels, social media posts, and recap stories that help students remember why Mega Wednesday mattered. Because it wasn’t just about hype—it was about impact.
